Bite Me Design Board - Costume
This costume design board explores character, tone, and storytelling in Bite Me through silhouette, texture, color, and movement. The designs reflect how clothing supports personality, relationships, and the emotional world of the play.
My Process
I started by reading the script and breaking the story down into key characters, important moments, and major turning points. I created simple personas for each character to understand their personalities, emotions, and roles in the story. This helped me think about how each character should look and what their costume could communicate about them.
Next, I storyboarded the scenes to understand how the characters move through the story and how their costumes would be seen on stage. I created mood boards to explore color, texture, and shape, focusing on how the costumes shift as the story moves from calm to unsettling. Using this planning, I designed costumes that support the tone of each scene and help the audience understand the characters and the world of Bite Me.
